Delegate Access

Modified on Tue, Feb 21, 2023 at 2:18 AM

Customers (patients) can add delegates to their accounts so that those people can see their medical records. Parents, people with a medical power of attorney, or other trusted people can be delegated. Patients can take care of their delegates by doing the following:

  • Sign in to your account on the www.yourmd.online telehealth site.

  • Click "Account" in the upper right corner of your home dashboard.

  • Go to "My Delegates" and enter the name and email address of the delegates you want to add.

  • Once you add a delegate, that person will get an email inviting them to look at your medical record.

  • You can remove delegates at any time by going back to the "My Delegates" section and clicking "Remove" next to the delegate's name.

On the other hand, if someone in our system adds you as a delegate, you can find this information on your user dashboard by doing the following:

  • Sign in to your account on the www.yourmd.online telehealth site.

  • Find the bar on the left and click "Delegated Access."

  • If you have been given delegate access, you will see the patient's name and other important information.

  • From there, you can look at the patient's medical record if the patient has given you permission to do so.

Please keep in mind that delegate access is helpful for patients who want to give trusted people access to their medical chart. Patients should be careful about who they give access to as a delegate and make sure they are happy with the level of access they give.
